Well that was an exciting couple days of All-Star MLB baseball. It’s great to see amazing athletes shining at our nation’s capital.
Too bad politics can’t be decided easily like getting home field advantage in the World Series. You may even see the Washington Nationals representing the National League in October this year.
This reminds me… Make sure you are registered to vote! It decides our country's future.
I know what you will see in October and even sooner and that’s Gametime Blitz NFL contests.
Brady and Rodgers will be lighting it up.
Until then hang tight with Gametime Blitz MLB contests every day. This week on Gametime Blitz you will see matchups featuring the Dodgers, Yankees, Astros, and Cubs.
I haven’t seen a better lineup of players since the All-Star game.
Here’s a preview of this weekend’s matchups >
7/19/18: Cubs @ Cardinals – The Cardinals are looking to rebound after just firing their coach recently. I see the Cubs taking advantage of this with their powerful lineup.
Kyle Hendricks has been mediocre this year with a 6-8 record, 3.92 ERA, and 83 K pitching for the Cubbies this year. Take this into account when making your picks and lean towards the Cubs winning this one.
7/20/18: Brewers @ Dodgers – Dodgers are hot through June and July. The Brewers Jesus Aguilar leads the NL in home runs and is by far the standout man to keep an eye on this game. This is a really good matchup that might see a bunch of hits and runs.
I see the Dodgers taking this one with home field advantage and an overall better squad.
7/21/19: Yankees @ Mets – As a Yankees fan, I’m biased, but they are good. Really good. The pitchers in this game are very average at best so take that into account when making predictions based on pitching stats.
I see the Yankees’ big batters to cash in some wins against the weaker Mets in this matchup.
7/22/18: Angels @ Astros – This is the third game of the series between these two monsters. The Astros’ pitching rotation is too much for any team to matchup against.
Lance McCullers Jr. gets the start with a 10-4 record, 3.77 ERA, and 119 strikeouts.
Will Mike Trout and company be able to knock in enough runs in to withstand this dynamic Houston team? Look for the Astros to have the edge with a more balanced team in this matchup.
